Dr. Rizwan Muneer

Biography

I earned my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, Pakistan. Subsequently, I dedicated over a decade to serving my alma mater, where I garnered invaluable experience teaching petroleum engineering courses and honing my research skills. In 2023, upon attaining a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Nazarbayev University Astana, Kazakhstan, my research focused on developing a novel technique for quantifying the surface forces of colloids in porous media. The developed DLVO models yielded new insights into the physics of rock-fluid interactions and fluid flow in porous media, offering predictions for crucial parameters such as critical salinity, pH, and flow rate.
